LOGIN: Independence Score
A framework to assess vendor dependency. No score is published at this stage.
A score exists only when it rests on a documented, sourced and dated evaluation. Until one exists for a product, no rating appears. No arbitrary scores, no paid scores.
The seven criteria
- Data portability. Can data be exported in an open, complete format with no hidden fees?
- Interoperability. Are open standards and documented APIs available at no extra cost?
- Contractual reversibility. What are the exit terms: notice, penalties, migration support?
- Technical concentration. How many critical components depend on the same vendor?
- Governance and jurisdiction. Who controls the service, under which law, with what access to data?
- Pricing transparency. Are prices and their changes readable and capped?
- Credible alternatives. Do mature open or European replacement options exist?
Publication rules
- Each criterion is assessed on verifiable evidence (contract, documentation, public terms).
- Sources and the evaluation date are published with the result.
- The vendor can request a factual correction, published alongside.
- No vendor payment can influence an evaluation.
This methodology is being finalised. It may change; every change will be dated.
